📢 Episode Summary:

We join our Ka-tet fo the first time in this book as time is feeling super elastic and the passage of time feels non-existant to them as they move along the path of the beam. The New York gunslingers seem enamored with the number 19 whereas Roland has no interest in it. The find what was likely once a road that is roughly following the beam and they begin following it. The enter a wood that seems from a fair tale, Eddie shares Hansel and Gretel with Roland who loves our stories but seemingly as a way to understand our world. Jake peels off for a bit and comes back with Muffin Balls, they all eat them and after they do Roland tells them they can bring vivid dreams. Also Jake mentions they are being followed, Roland knew all along (including how many), Susannah is a bit cold that he didn't tell them. Roland is not concerned about them. Jake and Eddie dream about being in New York (along with Oy) but it feels to real to be a dream and it feels like going into the Ball to see Roland kill his mother. They see another Jake, that is cutting school at Piper. Our Jake and Eddie both heard chimes when coming into this New York and despite it being morning feel it is dark somehow. They follow Jake 77 into the bookstore where he will buy the riddle book and Charlie the Choo-Choo. Jake is a bit worried that Jake 77 might be able to see him, but they both feel they have to see what happens.
